A cable television channel here in the USA, The History Channel, presented information from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, USA describing plasma technology being applied to wound healing. Their research has produced an energy field of ionized gas which is pulsed billions of times per second, and the energy field has a finite shape.

Dr. Mounir Laroussi of Old Dominion has been killing bacteria growing in wounds and burns using beams of ionized gas that for all the world look like mini “light sabers.”

Dr. Richard Nuccitelli also a researcher there is currently studying the electric fields associated with human skin wound healing and developing electrotherapy to enhance wound healing rates. He has developed devices to do just that in laboratory animals.
