Colloidal Silver (CS) was widely used in the early 20th century and was in the form "silver protein". It fell out of favor because of the availability and early successes of cheaper manufactured drugs such as penicillin. Silver nitrate, a related compound, is put into each baby's eyes after birth. Silverdene cream is used on burn patients. Many airlines use silver water filters. Clearly silver is beneficial to our health.

A famous researcher, Robert Becker, M.D., discovered that CS helps the body speed up its healing activities because of its effect on the body's electrical system. It also kills a key enzyme needed by pathogens for normal respiration, thus allowing the pathogen to die as well.

There appear to be no side effects to colloidal silver. Cases of argyria, reported in medical literature, apparently were caused by taking silver protein. That substance is not made in the same way as colloidal silver. True colloidal silver particles made as described below are .01 to .001 microns (under 4 millionths of an inch) in diameter. CS particles are positively charged and repel each other, leading to a suspension. If the solution becomes too concentrated, particles fall out of solution. Thus it is said that you can't take too much and that CS does not accumulate in the skin or internal tissue. Studies are currently being done to establish this. Colloidal silver, anecdotally, has been linked to a number of cures. Some use it on athlete's foot to cure infected cuts. One man had a problem with his earring recently. The pierced site became inflamed, tender and was oozing pus. He applied a piece of paper towel soaked with colloidal silver for an hour and the problem went away overnight. Also, he has had throat infections, been prescribed antibiotics, but instead successfully used colloidal silver to eradicate the infection in every case. The model CS120 (pictured) operates on regular 110-120 volt AC current.

The model CS240 runs on all 240-260volt, 50-60 hertz alternating current. It comes with a power cord suited for the destination country.
